Use Your Hard Drive as RAM

Image
By default, windows set up a paging file that is equal in size to amount of RAM the computer installed plus 300MB. The default paging size has a maximum of three times the installed RAM. With some modified settings you can use your hard drive as a RAM. Let’s say my installed RAM is 4GB and OS is Windows 7 HOME PREMIUM 64-bit. 1) Right click on the My Computer and select the properties 2) Go to Advanced System Settings 3) Click on Advanced – Performance – Setting 4) Click on Advanced – at the Virtual Memory area, click on button Change 5) Then you can specify your desire Virtual Memory from this screen 6) Enter the value on Initial and Max columns (optional - you can set the same value in the Initial and the Max columns) " You just used the memory of the Hard Drive as a Virtual Memory " 7) Now restart your pc and enjoy your fast and faster system
